Scrambled eggies

I am trying this tomorrow!

REVIEW OF RECIPE!

Hello everyone, I’ve tried this, and it was….. BUTTERY hahahah. Very rich and filling. I followed the recipe for the eggs exactly except that because of my laziness to find these two ingredients, I substituted creme fraiche with full cream milk and chives with parsley. Taste great! MACAM DI HOTEL. Haha.

I find however the recipe to be needlessly complicated. I felt that the “playing with the heat” was unneccesary, and don’t see relevance of adding butter together with the eggs. So, I’m going to try making the eggs again, but adding the butter first barutah the eggs to see if there’s any difference.

Condiment side: I cannot bear to see the mushrooms just fried blandly, so I added some cloves of garlic (you know how I love these!) to saute it with, together with the salt and pepper.

For the tomatoes, I didnt use cherry tomatoes (don’t like them!) but used big huge *almost* overripe tomatoes instead. Cut them into halves and seared them on the pan with dried basil, salt and pepper until the bottom side was caramelised.

All this served with hot toasts.

Results: I thought the eggs were okay. Like I said rich. Tested it on two people and got mixed reviews: Person A said the mushrooms turned out gorgeous and asked again and again how I made it, and Person B raved about the tomatoes: “omigod these tomatoes are so gooooood”. No one said anything about the eggs until I asked: to which they replied. Oh yea, it was yum. Hehehe.

  1. Wow. Now that’s making me hungry. But that’s how we always make our scrambled eggs here, stir it in the pan and season it after. No creme fresh, though, haha.

This guy’s giving all his secrets away!

The secret to fabulous scrambled eggs. I haven’t had any in a long time because I was tired of it. My cousins are crazy about it, though. Especially with cheeeeese.

See you on Saturday, Miss Maurina. I missed you! 😀

  9. Brunei memang hard to find creme fraiche – you can always sub it with sour cream instead I think… but if you can get the real thing – makes a whole lot of difference. Missing the dairy supermarkets of Oz

cookie m, nice meeting you on saturday! had a great time 🙂 anyway, our supermarket nearby (hua hu tg bunut) usually have these fancy dairy products. so i never really have any probelm with ingredients. but at the time of the making of the eggs i was too lazy to drag my ass there. haha. in fact i was too lazy to get out of the house even, so had to make do with what i already have in the fridge.

the not so lazy turtle, u guys tau, we (the TESLers) were just talking about how much we miss having the same tutorials sama u guys. Good times! 🙂 anyway, milk always make anything tastes better i think. hehe. anyway, dont blame my video! blame gordon ramsey!
