A rainbow is a virtual image. Hence, it makes no sense to say that it has an ‘end’.
In fact, if you’re looking from an elevated position, you may actually see a circular rainbow. The science of rainbows is quite simple to understand, so you may want to try googling it.

There was a superstition, I think, that if you point a rainbow with your index finger, you’ll lose it. Haha.
