A heads up

At the risk of jinxing, I just have to absolutely exclaim: oh my goodness, today must be one of the biggest days in Brunei blogging history eversince the incident with Borneo Bulletin.

Following the quote I took from Brunei Resources's blog and my call for more Bruneian Bloggers to help aid progress in the country, LSM churned out a post about what could be one of the most important issues concerning the blogosphere in the country – lack of substance. This was then followed by a comment cum blogpost by One Way Down The Highway which highlights the possibilities that the lack of substance is connected to the nature of the Bruneian Education System as a whole.

Wow! I am blogging about this at GVO. I will post up the link soon!

UPDATE: My latest article at GVO is available here. Again, a round up of recent posts made in Brunei Blogosphere.

  1. You know what scares me, Mau? You’ve gone from personal blogging to blogging journalism. Hehe it’s scary-cool.

I doubt I’ll ever get to the point where I can post about things of that level, simply because I’m a very self-looking person. I don’t usually talk about things that don’t really apply to me, or that I have no real interest in.

On the other hand, English in Brunei does apply to me given my vocation. But what to do? I just don’t like writing about stuff unless I’m opinionated about it. And I guess I’m not opinionated about English in Brunei.

  2. Cocopop! πŸ™‚ You are so very welcome!

Flyboy, in this context it is not so much. Substantial posts are as referred to by Mr LSM, “thought-provoking posts and discussions relevant to the Brunei paradigm”.

Ches, “from personal blogging to blogging journalism” —> oh really I haven’t noticed! πŸ˜› hahaha! It’s okay Ches, I’ll just steal your ideas and post it on my blog as my own. πŸ˜› Kidding.
