On the radio

Pelangi FM is actually having a program dedicated to blogging, as in blogging in Brunei, as in Brublogs, as in Bruneian Blogosphere, at this very moment.

Ish? =S This female DJ sounds very amateur and she had just put on a song from the ever annoying Highschool Musical. There is a male person (technician? DJ? Boss? Boipren?) in the background saying unintelligible things.

I am live updating. Will blog more as she talks some more.

UPDATE: She is a guest DJ apparently, DJ Wani, and the male voice is apparently DJ Airel/Airil? Phew, no wonder. I forgive Pelangi a little now. Apparently DJ Airel/Airil thinks blogging is a game, as in, not a figure of speech, but game as in “Internet game”. Hmm, rather ignorant of him. Someone called in by the way, 14 year old girl, no idea what’s going on, DJs made her hang up since her radio’s is too loud and them DJ’s can’t hear a thang–> isn’t this supposed a thing of the 90s? Apparently we’re still sakai.

MORE UPDATES: Ohhhhh, they’re the kind of people that thinks blogging equals online diary. Boring.  So I emailed them and said, I am live blogging the show and said blogging is not just about recording every single waking moment of our lives. Haih.

The DJ Iril said: THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT. And apparently he said he has only read one blog ever. Hers.

UPDATE SOME MORE: HABIS. The news is on now. That was a short program wasn’t it? It was actually quite disappointing. What was the point of the show really? It was a promising topic, albeit very little research. One caller that doesn’t know what was going on. Oh well.

  1. I don’t get it. How can they possibly talk about blogging on air if they know so very little bout it?

An Internet game? That sounds so.. provoking.

A program dedicated for blogoshpere? Ha.Ha. As if.

They’re like.. making fun out of it ja.

    *Roll eyes*

    Really, what the hell?

  5. Look at the bright side, Maurina, at least they don’t equate blogs to ‘friendster blog’. Hehe. That’s what most blogging noobs ask you if you tell them that you blog.

Hahaha, well, I don’t either. But I just don’t listen to radio regardless of whether its malaysia kah brunei kah apa kah mostly because.. my room doesn’t have one. some of them are actually pretty good. it’s the pelangi ones that are usually pembual I’ve find. while the other radios have improved, pelangi has mostly remained stagnant.

amieheidi, awu eh. ya allah. friendster blogs!!!! *slits writs*

  7. Indeed Pelangi is at its worst state now… I should know… I used to work there…

    For 3 hard working – good-for-nothing years… No acknowledgement what so ever…

So in conclusion… I do not listen to the radio unless to know what time azan… or when some tolerable DeeJays are on-air but they work for the KFM… My mentor Dj KC and Friends – Dj Jenny and Dj Dafy…

  8. Interesting topic…..I’m actually new to blogging myself and learning one or two things about this new phenomenon…But I have never heard such comments before….. I know it can sound frustrating….But instead of sitting around thinking about it… why don’t we do something about it….?
My own humble opinion is that why don’t we educate them about blogging since some of us out there are ‘ignorant’ …..Why don’t you offer to Pelangi or the DJ to invite you to come to their show to talk about the world of blogging. You.. yourself are already a celebrity in the blog sense and I feel the best person to speak on this matter…(you have appeared on Brunei Times)……Just my two cents worth….Good Luck

  10. All Djs are annoying, some more than others..even the best ones like Jenny have moments when she is annoying. We just tolerate her more than others.
