That was a short one, wasn’t it? I promised Meter Man I’d mention him in my blog (which he loved, by the way). Lets hope he comes back online yes? Eventhough I am secretly scared that someone might take a picture of my own car parked haphazardly in UBD and he’d post it there.
He brought together most Bruneians under one uniting factor: hatred for parking idiots. To blur license plates or not to blur? Why blur? Your car was out ther parked like ngok for all the world to see, suddenly you’re embarassed of parking like an idiot? What’s a little online picture~
Stick around yes? I know they’ll be back. π
Speaking of back, THE BUTTERFLIES ARE BACK! I am sooooooo nervous for tonight. Here are the things that you might expect from me: stuttering, speaking too fast, blank outs, a lot of giggling, and me forgetting half of my acquired vocabulary.
I am soooooo nervous!!!

Woman! Is there any way you can put up the show’s recording online? Aku terawih bah tu.. tapi mau jua ku mendangar! Nyeh.

Because it’s a small country – a small town, in fact – where circles of acquaintances are very wide. There are people who reserve the privilege of obnoxious parking but also happen to be sensitive to public embarrassment. Sure, the obvious solution would be, “well, don’t park like that!” but it’s easier for them to stifle a webpage with threats than to reform their behavior.
But forget parking. I’d like to see a “Driving Idiots” page that calls out those who use intimidation to encourage the cars in front of them to drive faster by driving less than a meter behind them and flashing their lights. Add to this list the guys on that single-lane highway between Tutong and KB who prefer to endanger the lives of families in oncoming cars than tolerate driving 60km/h behind a truck.
Parking idiots don’t kill. These homicidal maniacs do.
(good luck tonight!)

Hmm, interesting. But, it would be difficult to take pictures of those people no? UNLESS you happen to bring a friend with you. The idea might just work! Make one Kij! π

To blur or not to blur…So hard to answer eh.
Because maybe the car kana pinjam or driven by someone else, then the car owner kasian lah.
