I have been following Ness’s nasheed recommendations recently, and this video she embedded from YouTube led me to a spine-chilling one here. One thought at the end of the song: MUST POST ON BLOG. Just click on the video to watch.

How morbid… to show a clip where someone actually dies… nothing cool about it.. this clip celebrates death as if it is some glorious event… like I said, Morbid… and not cool….

how would one get pahala celebrating death? Maybe I am just a little lost from my previous religious studies…

ala lai, not celebrating, mere remembering.

What a take on the clip.. In my opinion (even though no one asked for it), it’s a reminder to tell you that death is upon us. As morbid as it may have seemed, but that’s just the reality of it. We should work for our akhirat, but still we have to see it as something that brings us closer to Allah, rather than, pushing the issue of death aside and forget about it.

Thanks Tina, that’s what I thought as well. I didn’t see it as portraying death as a glorified event, although it is interesting that you have pointed it out, SMM, perhaps some others out there also saw it that way. I actually thought the video was bold, honest and scary. Hehe. So yea.
