Needless to say, it was VERY nice. Although my current state of health (yes, stomach related and too disgusting to blog about in the same post as food) is forbidding me to write about it in a decent, saliva-secreting way.
Ugh, I need warm water. All clinics close on Sunday in Delhi by the way. Getting sick on a Sunday is a bad idea. So is looking at food pictures while you’re sick.
Anyway, this is the obligatory long grained rice.

And mutton.

These are peas obviously. Untouched by me.

Sheken. Or hayam.

Paneer, or in Anglais, goat cheese.

And the last picture is, erm, mushroom. I think. I don’t know. I don’t want to look at it closely.

This will prolly be the last of my food pictures. Because I really cannot bear to look at another dish taken in macro mode.
Speaking of food. I did… something… really.. really… really… bad… 30 minutes ago. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Stars for anyone who can get it right. All I have to say is… it’s nearby my hotel.
Not Pizza Hut.

how come everyone i know who has been to india tells me they hav stomache aches whilst they r there? is it the water? bacteria in the air? no idea moite π

“it happens everytime you travel from a developed to a developing country”
How exactly do you define a “developing country” and a “developed country” ?
Because it could just also be the opposite way:
it happens everytime you travel from a developing to a developed country
π
Glad you had fun in Delhi π

The way Wikipedia had defined it? Hehehe. It’s a little information I gathered while reading up on Delhi Belly. Bear in mind I was quite groggy at the time from co-proxamol, I’m blaming ignorance from inadequate information and desperation (sick people will believe anything).

I can vouch for this. I’ve experienced problems in both directions.
After living a few years in a less-developed country and then visiting a “developed” one, similar bad things happened to my stomach, just like Maurina’s “Delhi Belly”. I guess it takes a while to get used to the local microbes, and isn’t necessarily a sanitary issue.
Hey Maurina – hope things sort themselves out and you can go back to enjoying the trip.

Aparna: You’re right, I was confused with another dish we had at dinner. I can look closely at food pictures now, which means: DELHI BELLY GONE TO HELLY. (Eww, corny)
ange: YOU’RE RIGHT! Bottom line is… humans must line their stomach with latex.
Nonnie: NOPE. Please refer to Suria’s answer =P It’s somewhere in there.
