Day 1
1055 Leave Brunei

1200 Arrive Jakarta & made way to hotel

3pm Check in (finally)
We stayed in Harmoni area, at Harris Vertu. Lovely hotel with the best staff.

4pm Head over to PIK – By the Sea for some shopping of local high street brands

Day 2 – Bandung Day!
7am: Head on over to Stasiun Halim by Grab

820am: Catch the Whoosh (Kereta Api Cepat) to Padalarang
At Padalarang alight from the KCIC and join the feeder train to Stasiun Bandung
9am: Arrive in Stasiun Bandung via feeder train

Grab to Lembang Floating Market & Bandung Flower Garden


Initially planned to do some shopping along Jalan Sudirman but it rained heavily so ended up in Paris Van Java Mall for some salon time

715pm Catch feeder train to Padalarang and catch Whoosh back to Jakarta

830pm Grab to Senayan City

9pm Dinner at Ramen Ya
Day 3 – Discovery Day
Woke up late and had brunch of Padang Food at Padang Merdeka

Took a Grab to MACAN ( Museum of Contemporary Art Nusantara) where they were showing an exhibit by Patricia Piccininni.


Took a Grab to Jakarta Old Town – Also known as Old Batavia or Kota Toa, an area of northern central Jakarta where you’ll find many of the old colonial Dutch buildings. Strolled around Fatahillah Square



Tried Acaraki Jamu, Iboe Madem and walked over to Toko Merah where we had coffee at Rode & Winkel




Took a Bus (Red line from Kali Besar to MONAS Monumen Nasional).

Anyway at MONAS we walked very far to the main gate but they were closed 😂

Decided to walk to Istiqlal Mosque while exploring Gambir area

On the way there, had some classic icecream at Ragusa – a cute icecream place thats been open since 1932



Istiqlal Mosque – largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the ninth largest mosque in the world in terms of worshipper capacity.[3] Built to commemorate Indonesian independence, this national mosque of Indonesia was named “Istiqlal”, an Arabic word for “independence”. The mosque was opened to the public on 22 February 1978. Within Jakarta, the mosque is positioned next to Merdeka Square, the Jakarta Cathedral (Catholic), and also of the Immanuel Church (Reformed)








Grabbed the bus to Sarinah (Red line from Juanda to MH Thamrin)

At Sarinah, found out my friend was also there and decided to eat dinner together. She brought us to Roxy for roadside Sate Padang & Es Teler

Day 4
9am Check out and head to Soekarno-Hatta Airport

1pm Leave Jakarta

430pm Arrive Brunei
