Capers and macro function (Again! Hehe huhu haha!)

A big shout out to Seashore, my new very stable and very fast open source photo-editing software. I have been editing and cropping my images all day (granted I woke up at 11am :P). Extra points for having such a cute little fish icon which sits snugly on my dock. πŸ™‚

Anyway, some of you may remember me contemplating opening up a food blog a while ago. Being myself, I have decided to not follow advice from my readers and actually merge the fooding with the supposedly normal blogging. Wahaha. Reason can be found under thesaurus entry “lazy”.

So, with that Turquoise and Roses will have more food pictures from now onwards (with the new camera and all ahem ahem). However, I know how many of you start bloghopping when you’re hungry and thus start salivating and develop food craves which will then lead you to curse violently (exaggeration) in the comments section for my food picture posting.

Therefore, for every food post, I’ll be including a bright red warning that looks like this:

Obviously this is a sign for an incoming food picture post! Remember: the choice is yours. Hahaha. To drool or not to drool? If you are ready to drool, be prepared: eat beforehand, get ready some tissues/towel/bucket/pail so that saliva won’t drop on your laptop and you get electrocuted.

Okay? So here goes.

Here are some pictures I’ve been meaning to post from one of the TESL lunches at Capers.

Calamari Fritti, served with tartare sauce.

Italian pizza with sliced chicken breast, mince beef and pineapple on a bed ofΒ  smooth tomato sauce.

Lunch dish of the day, some sort of a penne dish with bbq beef rashers.

Oh I ordered this. Spaghetti bolognaise. Hehe. Very safe order, I was in the mood for something very oily, heavy and tomato-ey. I still had that metallic aftertaste from all the meds I consumed when I had my fever and cough. So yes, only strong flavours for me.

I love the rounded edges and awwwww, I’ve started labelling my pictures. Hehe.

  2. Hi Rosie, I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “proper”. Hehe. πŸ™‚ But basically what I do is that I host most of my pictures at Flickr and direct link to them here.

As for picture editing, I use the above mentioned software Seashore and that is pretty much it! πŸ™‚ If you wish to know more, you can always email me! πŸ™‚
