Fun times at @netcombrunei - one of the businesses that did really well during the COVID-19 pandemic. They’ve been working hard to minimise the digital divide in Brunei and still working hard to ensure everyone has access. They shared what a crazy year it has been - the difficulties, the opportunities.

My coral jubillee ahem. Just because I can’t travel so I decided well, why not throw a party? This was decided on 4th March. Kononnya I was supposed to cook a lovely dinner. Then I’m like dont really wanna do it at home and whatsapped @thecollectiveartevents for the venue (the new Makerspace), @roketkertass for the live music and asked everyone for RSVPs 😂 to which I realised rupanya kawan ani ramai dan dorang semua belaki/bini yakni came to a grand total of 50 super close people and no matter how handal i am, no way I will take on stress of cooking for 50 people on my birthday baik ku ke salon 🤣 So I booked a caterer and then everyday I announced something new that i just thought of macam, attire - “oh wear white” - so now I have updates of every white outfit in brunei.... Then sprung random surprises to some of them like “kau mau menyanyi!?”, “u wanna be my game host?”, “maybe i’ll do best dressed”, “aku ada doorgift siapa awal pilih bunga rare” and “jah belanja photographer” and of course “emceekan ni event ku ani sudah i whatsapp the programme to you” (on the night itself) 😂 LOL what fun! The only thing now me menyasal inda hire those printing photobooths thingy which would’ve made nice keepsakes! Maybe next year 😂😂😂 Anyway, wanted to thank all my guests for coming and being so so awesome and biggest thank u to @hazidiee dor saying “ah bah” when I whatsapped him “kan buat party me” that fatedul afternoon on the 4th of March. 😆 That’s why i love u!!! #maurinabedaytuyu
